Eclipse Machining & Magnetics has acquired all of the production equipment and design specifications that formally belonged to a major US supplier of magnetic tape heads.
Eclipse has assembled a team of personnel who have many years experience in designing, manufacturing, and refurbishing heads. All work is completed onsite, from stacking the cores to potting each head.
We maintain an extensive library of head specifications on hand to meet your needs, or we can reverse engineer your worn head. However, with specifications dating back twenty-five years, reverse engineering will probably not be necessary. If you have a custom application, we are the people to fill your needs. From track format to contour, we can give you a design that works for you. We are also a major supplier of Magnetic Ink Character Reader (MICR) heads for replacement or new production.
